A year of GIFS
Whoa. Whoa. Whoa!
Today #SOYEAHDUH turns 1 year old. Holy balls.
A year ago today I was on an airplane after a 3-week business trip posting GIFS, anonymously onto a Tumblr page. Why? I’m still really not sure.
Not thinking much of it, I posted about the most ridiculous tidbits of my life in Chicago. Getting dumped, missing the train and running into exes at Jewel were just the start. My life since that day has opened up in ways I never imagined.
I’ve met the coolest dudes, raddest babes and I’ve received emails from married folk who tell me #SOYEAHDUH is their escape from the Chicago suburbs. I know this blog is mostly humorous so I’ll try not to be a wet blanket about this but… you all have changed and touched my life. THAT’S SO CHEESEY but it’s true. All your tweets, emails and support make me feel overwhelmed with happiness.
This dumb blog has taught me that we are all in this together. The cold weather, the high taxes, the bars on State and Divison and the bros in Wrigley – we are in this together. We are more alike than we are different and I’m in love with everyone.
